Great Britain brings forward combustion ban to 2035 at the latest

Posted by Christian Pfäffli on

As one of many measures to protect the climate, Great Britain wants to stop selling new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2035 - five years earlier than previously planned. In addition, the ban on new registrations will then also apply to hybrid vehicles, in contrast to earlier plans. The British government is considering banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and even earlier if a faster transition is possible. The government, therefore, intends to continue to work with all industries to accelerate the introduction of zero-emission vehicles and create new environmentally friendly jobs in the UK.
